Knitting for babies is a timeless, enduring tradtion across many cultures. When we knit for a little one, we’re imbuing that item with not just our time and resources but with our thoughts, hopes and love. Making this collection of traditional pastel and deeper muted hues was a labour of love as I imagined all the little ones, including those in my own family, who might someday wear them.
One of our children in particular gained the nickname “Cheeks” everywhere we went. She did have the biggest, most adorable, so-soft pink cheeks.

What child isn’t a Little Monkey at some point in their exploratory early years! I couldn’t count the number of times we called our children this name. Little Monkey is a deep, muted brown, a perfect grounding colour to pair with any of the other colours in the Oh, Baby! collection.

My children, and probably most children, would pronouce the word blueberry as “booberry”. This colour is a soft, barely blueberry blue like the colour of leftover milk after a bowl of milk and fresh blueberries.
