Compared with his other, more famed gardens, Monet painted his family’s beautiful garden at Argenteuil, Paris, only a handful of times. It is no less beautiful, in my opinoin. The bright red dahlias and yellow roses dominate the paintings but there’s a wealth of other colours too. Greens, oranges, browns, a white house with green shutters, and a cloud-filled periwinkle sky. This variegated offering is my homage to his garden and paintings at Argenteuil.
Please note how the different bases take up dye. The colours are bolder in the BFL/Silk blend. The first five yarn photos are Merino. The next photo with two skeins is BFL/Silk on the left, merino on the right. And the rest of the photos are BFL/Silk. Same colours. Same methods.
Fine SW Merino Fingering, 100g (3.5oz), 400m (437yds)
Fingering Sock, 55% SW BFL, 45% Silk, 100g (3.5oz), 400m (437yds)
