Kjirsten's Seed Paper Wishes on the An tSlaine
There exists a magical place in County Wicklow where the sheep are loved and happy and the landscape seems to smile upon you and welcome you in with a whisper through the trees, “tread lightly, this space is beloved and protected”. Lionel and Zoë and their young family are passionate, gentle stewards of this land and legacy at Eriu. They welcomed us warmly and guided us through their fiock to the An tSlaine, seed paper in hand.
You could believe that, when you wrote a wish upon that seed paper and placed it to float along the burbling River Slaney, it would find its mark and be fulfilled. Kjirsten’s Seed Paper Wishes is a vibrant interpretation of the gorgeous rust of river rocks and lush greenery set against the old stone bridge under which our wishes floated. The deep orange half is speckled with dark, almost-black green. And the green half is speckled with deep orange. The speckling and stone colours throughout connect and ground the two halves.
SW DK is Fine Merino Wool, 100g (3.5oz), 225m (246yds) DK is less saturated by nature of the yarn.
SW Worsted is Fine Merino Wool, 100g (3.5oz), 136m (149yds)
